LARGO, MD (bdpatoday®)—BDPA Student Member Isaac Njoroge, among the many highly qualified candidates across BDPA’s pipelines, has secured a Cybersecurity Internship with Johnson & Johnson for the Summer of 2026. Based in Raritan, New Jersey, Isaac will join the company’s Information Security & Risk Management (ISRM) team — a prestigious placement that underscores the real-world impact of BDPA’s Student Information Technology Education & Scholarship (SITES) portfolio. ISRM drives security strategies for products, services, and digital infrastructure across IT and operational technology (OT).

Isaac is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Information Science with a minor in Cybersecurity at the University of Maryland, College Park. He also holds an Associate Degree in Information Technology from the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) — a dual-credential
path that reflects both his academic versatility and his commitment to building a rigorous technical foundation from the ground up.
Isaac’s affiliation with Johnson & Johnson goes beyond merely receiving an internship offer. This global healthcare organization is a proud co-sponsor of National BDPA’s Robotics Academy, and it was on that very platform — at BDPACON25 — that Isaac made his presence known. During last year’s Robotics Academy, he employed his programming expertise and creative problem-solving in a fast-paced, collaborative team atmosphere, illustrating the kind of composure and technical proficiency that employers desire in competitive internship programs.
“Isaac’s journey exemplifies everything BDPA’s SITES program stands for — a young technologist who shows up, puts in the work, and turns early opportunities into endless achievements.”
As part of the SITES program, Isaac has embarked on a dedicated journey through the essentials of cybersecurity and national security. His involvement in technical coding competitions — most notably the Robotics Academy — has equipped him with practical skills that complement his theoretical studies. These experiences are not simply items on a resume; they signify a student who is eager to take on challenges.

Beyond his technical ambitions, Isaac carries a broader sense of purpose. He is passionate about leveraging technology to solve real-world challenges and has expressed a deep commitment to bridging the digital divide in underserved communities. He aspires not only to build a distinguished career in cybersecurity, but to mentor the next generation of STEM students and actively create pathways for those who, like him, are navigating a field where representation still matters.
That combination — technical sharpness, leadership potential, and a community-first mindset — is precisely what National BDPA seeks to cultivate in every student it serves, and precisely what the cybersecurity industry needs more of. Isaac’s pursuit of a rigorous information security background, paired with his demonstrated leadership qualities, positions Issac well to contribute meaningfully to the cybersecurity challenges facing both our nation and the private sector.
Isaac aspires to build a career in cybersecurity while mentoring and creating opportunities for other students in our STEM fields — a mission shared with BDPA.
As Isaac heads to Raritan later this summer, he carries with him the entire encouragement of “BDPA Nation.” His success is a testament to what becomes possible when talented students are given access to community, coaching, and the right opportunities at the right time. BDPA looks forward to watching him thrive — and to welcoming him back as a mentor and champion for SITES students following in his footsteps.
