CHICAGO (BDPA Chicago) — Norman Fleming, the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Chicago Public Schools (CPS), has been recognized as a 2025 Business Leader of Chicago (BLC) by Chicago United. He is one of 49 executives acknowledged for his efforts in driving IT innovation, overseeing digital transformation, and leading key projects such as the $104 million ERP platform replacement.

Key achievements and honors for Norman Fleming in 2025 include award recognitions and honors as a 2025 BLC by Chicago United, a finalist for the 2025 Chicago CIO ORBIE Award, and recognized as the 2025 IT Senior Management Forum (ITSMF) Technology Executive of the Year (Education).

At CPS, he made a significant impact by leading the $104 million ERP platform replacement, acquiring $20.4 million in FCC emergency connectivity funds, and boosting CPS’ IT personnel by 26%.
